Welcome

The original Jackson County WV Pioneer Project was an attempt to connect all the pioneer families of just that county. Like those pioneers, my research is moving on and including more people from surrounding counties, including some in Ohio, so I'm expanding the name as well as the focus of the research. My database here includes roughly 75% of the people who appeared on the 1850 census of Jackson County. I won't live long enough to do that for the whole state, but I'll surely try.

I welcome your additions and corrections, with sources, as well as pictures of your ancestors, etc, with the implied permission to use that data on my website. I'd love to know where they went when they left the green hills of WV, so if your family is one of those, drop me a line, please.

Feel free to use the data here for YOUR PERSONAL use, but it MAY NOT be uploaded in bulk to another website, or used for commercial purposes including uploading to a pay-for-view site, such as FTM, Ancesty's OneWorldTree, etc, and please give credit for where you found it.
