Born April 25, 1922, at Walton, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late George L. and Eula Noel Harper. Sister Bea was a member of the Crossroads Apostolic Holiness Church, Bradley, and a homemaker. Her first husband, Azel Coleman, and second husband, James Hillard Holley Sr., preceded her in death. Survivors include three sons, Tommy Joe Coleman and wife, Alice, of Scarbro, Jackie Lee Coleman and wife, Nadean, of Pax and Bobby Ray Coleman and wife, Lori, of Williams Field, Ohio; one daughter, June Dunn of Beckley; two stepsons, James H. Holley Jr. and wife, Loretta, of Rt. 1, Fayetteville, and John Holley of Ottawa; one stepdaughter, Phyllis Cuckler and husband, Dan, of Columbus, Ohio; one brother, Fred R. Harper of Falling Rock; and three sisters, Ruby Coe of Walton, Freda Schoolcraft of Spencer and Myrtle Rhodes of Walton. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, seven stepgrandchildren and eight stepgreat-great-grandchildren. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, May 11, 2009, at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. James Miller officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and a hard worker. She was an avid bowler for 50 plus years with several leagues at the Boulevard Bowling Alley. Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dennis C. Randolph; parents, John and Ethel Young Hughart; brothers, Belford, Mayford and Elvin Hughart; and sister, Norma McQuain. Surving are her son, Edward Randolph and his wife, Marilyn, of St Albans; grandchildren, Kim Walker and husband, Gary; Robyn Hagerman and husband, Robert; Traci Lowers and husband Brian, and Marc Gilbert and wife Sherry; great-grandchildren, Dillon Walker, Hailey and Kyle Hagerman, Bailey Gilbert, and Ashlee and Tyler Lowers, and several nieces and nephews are left to mourn her passing. She was born Wednesday, March 20, 1918, at Amma, a daughter of the late Pete and Ella Ledsome McCune. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Squire E. Parsons Sr.; two brothers, Oris and John McCune; five sisters, Mable Harrah, Ruey Keaton, Maxine Taylor, Edith Runnion and Emogene Jones. Mrs. Parsons was a homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a lady who truly enjoyed spending time with her family and preparing meals for pastors, evangelists, missionaries, singers and friends who visited her home. She was a member of the Newton Baptist Church, where she served as a Sunday school teacher, member of the choir and the Women's Mission Circle. Survivors include her children, J. Carolyn and Ronald Fisher of Newton, Virgil E. and June Parsons of Elkview, Squire E. and Linda Parsons Jr. of Leicester, N.C., Thomas W. and Cynthia Parsons of Alum Creek; grandchildren, Rhonda Young, Renita Cook, Amy Parsons, Seth Parsons, Leigh Sexton, Sarah Walker, Samuel Parsons and Hannah Parsons; 13 great- grandchildren; two brothers, Bobby McCune of Massillon, Ohio, and Jackie McCune of Pigeon. The funeral service will be held Saturday, June 7, at 11 a.m. at the Newton Baptist Church, Newton, with the Rev. Darius Walker, Assoc. Pastor Seth Parsons and the Rev. Ronald W. Fisher officiating. Burial will be in Laurel Point Cemetery, Newton. Friends may call at the church from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Linda was born on November 16, 1938, in Bancroft and was the daughter of the late Peck and Margie Arthur. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Peck Arthur Jr., John Arthur and her twin brother, Larry Arthur; and sisters, Sally Utt and Aggie Brown. Linda was a 1956 graduate of Poca High School and a 1992 graduate of Teays Valley Baptist College. She was a member of Elizabeth Baptist Church for 60 years. She was a teacher of young people and women for many years. She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Bill Harmon; son, Daniel Harmon and his wife, Donna, of Cross Lanes; daughter, Stephany Shamblin and her husband, Michael, of Red House; grandchildren, Stacey and Tim Sigman of Bancroft, Amie Shamblin of Cross Lanes and John Daniel Harmon of Cross Lanes; sisters, Ruth Casto of Bancroft, Sue Ranson of Liberty and Marylou Cottrill of Poca; brothers, Neely Arthur and Roosevelt Arthur, both of Poca; and a host of other relatives and friends. A tribute to the life of Linda will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 26, at Elizabeth Baptist Church with Pastor Jeff Arthur officiating.
