Police receiveda call from a neighbor who said they heard a shot. The body was released to the David D. Schwerha Funeral Home in Midland for local arrangements, with services to be held at the Straight and Tucker Funeral Home in Ravenswood, W.Va. Survivors include a brother from the Ravenswood area. | 1896 | When (John) Boggs became too old to maintain himself he made his home with his daughter Belmount, who married Benniah Depue, and to whom he gave the home farm at the mouth of Island Run, except a lot of forty acres he reserved in his own name. Finally becoming dissatisfied, he bought a tract of two hundred acres on the head of Spring Creek, whic he deeded to his grandson, Marshall Depue, for his maintenance. He continued to resdie with Depue until his death, which is said to have occurred on the 2nd of April, 1862 at the age of 108. | 1900 | William E Reynolds Middleport - William E Reynolds, 81, died Tuesday afternoon, at 3:30 p.m. at his home on palmer St, following a long illness. Mr Reynolds was born June 15, 1882 in Bradbury. He was the son of Thomas and Lucettia Reynolds. He was a member of the Methodist Church of Christ where he served as a deacon for many years until he became ill after suffering a sroke. He has been a decon emeritus for the past several years. Mr Reynolds was one of the three Reynolds Brothers who owned and operated the Reynolds' Livery Stables from 1900 to 1920. He was employed by the New York Central Railroad from Jan 1920 to 1951, and retired from his duties there in 1951, because of illness. He worked for the railroad in Charleston, W.Va. for nine years. He was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America for 63 years and the BMI (Boiler Makers International). He is survived by his wife, Helen E. Rupe Reynolds; one son, William K Reynolds of Kalamazoo, Mich; and a daughter, Mrs Mary E. King, Lansing, Mich; five grandsons and one granddaughter, including, Richard and Robert King, Lansing; Ritchie, Kenneth, Michael, and Patricia Reynolds, Kalamazoo, and one great granddaughter, Shellie Jean King, Lansing. Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm Saturday at the Rawlings-Coats funeral home with the Rev Fred I Gardner officiating. Burial will be in the Gravel Hill cemetery at Cheshire.
