Phyllis H. Thaxton, 75, of Charleston died Aug. 11, 1998, in Arthur B. Hodges Nursing Home after a long illness.
She was a retired employee of Charleston Area Medical Center and was a Protestant.
Surviving: stepson, Jimmy Thaxton of Barboursville; brother, Stanley Hall of South Charleston.
Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Snodgrass Funeral Home, South Charleston, with the Rev. Richard Sargent officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Memorial Park, South Charleston. Friends may call from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to First Baptist Church, South Charleston.
