He was 80. Skeen owned the Skeenie's locations on Sissonville Drive in Charleston and MacCorkle Avenue in Kanawha City, as well as another restaurant in Tampa. Surviving: wife, Mary Crowder Skeen; daughter, Karen Kay Skeen of Tampa; son, Joshua Andrew II, with whom he resided, of Tampa; one sister; one brother. Private service was held July 18, 1997, at J.E. Johnson Funeral Home, Kanawha City, with the Rev. Alvin Cox officiating. Burial was in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Sissonville.
