  Notes	Gazette, pg 13, 1/27/1950 Martha Ledsome Dies in Hospital Mrs Martha L Ledsome, 63, of Clendenin, died Wednesdayin a Spencer hospital after a short illness. She was the wife of Dr A L Ledsome, prominent Clendenin veterinarian, and a member of the Frist Methodist Church of Clendenin. Surviving in addition to her husband are three sons: Clarence Shafer of Charleston, Quentin Shafer of the US Army in New York and Orville Shafer of Cincinnatti; five stepsons, Roy Ledsome of Kanawha City, Robert E Ledsome of California, Edward Shafer, Charles Shafer and EC Shafer, all of Charleston; and two daughters, Mrs John Lynch of Hugheston and Mrs Mike Vargo of Cleveland, O. Service will be at 2 p.m. today in Hess and Harper chapel at Clendenin with Rev J. Smith Dye officiating.
