Bobby Lee Rhodes, 82, of Millwood passed away February 24, 2015 at Jackson General Hospital following a long illness.
He was born February 16, 1933 at Roane County a son of the late Elihue and Blanche Riddle Rhodes. He was an Army Veteran during the Korean Conflict and later a member of the Army Reserve Unit in Ripley. He retired in 1997 from Ravenswood Aluminum (formerly Kaiser Aluminum) and was a member of the United Steel Workers Union 5668.He faithfully attended the Ripley Baptist Temple.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Margaret Showen Rhodes; sons Timothy (Joyce) Rhodes of Millwood, David Rhodes of Columbus, OH; daughters Charla Rhodes of Millwood and Marsha (Jack) Linkinoggor of Spencer; grandchildren Nathan Rhodes of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Scott Rhodes of Morgantown, Megan Cline of Barboursville and Kaden Linkinoggor of Spencer and great grandchild Lincoln Cline. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Richards.
Funeral Service will be 2 pm Saturday, February 28, 2015 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Rick Perrine officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Roane County. Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm Friday, February 27, 2015 at the funeral home.
