Rhodes, Darlene E.
Darlene Evon Rhodes, 59, of Leon, WV, passed away January 30, 2015, in Pleasant Valley Hospital, Point Pleasant.
She was born August 17, 1955, in Ripley, WV the daughter of Bernard Lee and Patsy Ann (Kuhn) Livingston.
Darlene was a receptionist and nursing assistant and was formerly employed by Holzer Clinic in Point Pleasant. She was a member of the Mt. Tabor Community Church, Leon, where she also served as Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed painting, sewing, crafts, and traveling, and was the perfect example of a Christian woman who adored her husband, children, and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, other survivors include her husband of 42 years, Bernard Weldon Rhodes; son, Benjamin Rhodes (Brittane) of New Haven; daughter, Joni Smith (Paul) of Leon; brothers, Okey William “Willy” Livingston (Shirley), and Jeffrey Livingston (Allena) all of Leon; sister, Diana Young (Bob) of Leon; grandchildren, Logan Rhodes, Branson Rhodes, Ayden Rhodes, Hunter Nichole Snyder, Christopher Smith, Lynsey Smith and Katelyn Smith, and a step grandson, Jonathan Smith.
Service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at Casto Funeral Home Chapel, Evans, WV, with Pastor Lawrence Conger, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Creston Cemetery, Evans. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.
