  Notes	Mr. Hiram PARSONS Mr. Hiram PARSONS, 88, GAR veteran, died at 12:40 p.m. Thursday at the home of his daughter-in-law, Mrs. Addie PARSONS, on Parchment. He was born in 1826. His death was due to infirmities incident to old age. He is survived by three sons and one daughter, Joseph PARSONS and Spicer PARSONS of Illinois, James PARSONS of Huntington, Mrs. John FREY of Foster Chapel, and one brother, who resides in Columbus, Ohio. The funeral will be held at 3 o'clock this afternoon, Rev. E. B. WEBSTER of the United Brethren Church officiating. Interment in Mt. Moriah. (Mountaineer, 6 Feb 1914) Hiram PARSONS Hiram PARSONS, born December 8, 1825, died February 5, 1914, aged 88 years, 1 month and 27 days. He was united in marriage to Letitia MORRISON about 1843, there were born to this union five sons and four daughters. Three sons and one daughter survive: J. M. PARSONS of Huntington, J. A. and F. S. PARSONS of Noble, Illinois, and Mrs. Minnie FREY of Jackson County. Mr. PARSONS was converted 35 years ago in a meeting held by Rev. J. W. MARTIN and joined the United Brethren Church and remained a consistent member until his death. (Mountaineer, 13 Feb 1914) JCDR shows he died 2/5/1913.
