Nina Naomi "Toots" Reynolds Merrill, 93, of Newark, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord on Nov. 11, 2011.
She was born in Burning Springs, W.Va., on Sept. 18, 1918, the daughter of Sam and Lily Landers Reynolds and raised as the daughter of A.O. and Gertrude Monroe of Creston, W.Va.
She was a member of Hill Grove Baptist Church and the Ladies Auxillary. She enjoyed attending the Church of the Nazarene of Elizabeth.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Glen and Norma Merrill of Elizabeth and Gene and Patsy Merrill of Newark, W.Va., with whom she resided; daughter-in-law, Joyce Merrill of Red Hill Road, Parkersburg; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; adoptive parents; son, Grey Merrill; granddaughter, Linda Merrill; brother, Willard Reynolds; and sister, Margaret Reynolds Mowery.
Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Matheny Whited Funeral Home with the Pastor Dean Ash, the Rev. Ray Whitman and Pastor Dwight Brohard. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today. Interment will be at Hill Grove 2, Sonoma Road, W.Va.
