Jeremiah Robey Jr., a son of Jeremiah and Mary Ruth (Ogden)
Robey, was born in Harrison County VA (WV) April 14, 1809 and died in Midway, UT in 1901. He married Ruth Tucker in Harrison County November 7, 1833. Ruth, a daughter of Jeremiah and Ruth (Ashcraft) Tucker, died in UT in 1892.
The family moved to Hancock County IL about 1840. Jeremiah was baptized by Joseph Smith in May 1841 and became active in the Mormon congregation at Navoo, IL. The moved to Honey Creek IA in mid-winter 1846 because of persecution by anti-Mormon mobs. In 1852, they joined the David Wood company and moved to Provo, UT. In 1859, they joined in forming the community of Midway, UT.
