  Notes	Margie Rhodes Coontz, age 81 years, a resident of Elkins, WV departed this life Tuesday evening, November 4, 2014 at her home with her family at her side. She had been in declining health. She was born Thursday, September 28, 1933 at Bergoo, WV a daughter of the late Charles Oley and Zetta Hamrick Rhodes. She was the twelfth of twenty-four children. On October 5, 1952 at Elkins, WV she was married to Thomas Lamont "Tom" Coontz, who preceded her in death February 20, 2005. Surviving are one son, Thomas Leslie "Tommy" Coontz and wife Mary K. of Beverly; seven brothers, Raymond of CO, Earl of French Creek, Forrest of GA, Willie of Fairmont, Harry of PA, Ralph of OH, and Ronald of NY; four sisters, Faye of OH, Wretha of OH, Alice of Elkins, and Roseanna of Elkins, three grandchildren, Matthew of Wheeling, John of Beverly, and Kathryn of Morgantown and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are six brothers, McClellan "Clellan", Jim, Lloyd, Arthur, Everett and Charles; and six sisters, Marie, Emma Jean, Donna, Retta, Louemma, and infant Georgie Loraine. She attended the schools of Randolph County and along with her husband Tom had worked for WDNE Radio for twenty seven years. She enjoyed ground hog hunting and was a meticulous housekeeper. The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins from 5 to 8 PM, Friday. Final Rites will be conducted at the funeral home, Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 1:30 PM. The Rev. S. Kent Price will officiate and interment will follow at the Valley Bend Cemetery near Belington, WV. Lohr & Barb Funeral Home - November 5, 2014
