Charles B. (Barney) Miller, 84, formerly of Parkersburg went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, August 18, 2004 at his residence in Sugarcreek, OH. He was born in Roane Co., WV a son of the late Donald C. Miller and Alice E. Williams Miller. He attended First Church of The Nazarene in New Philadelphia, OH and was a Veteran of World War II and was stationed in England with the 8th Air Force where he married his wife of Nearly sixty years.
Survivors include his spouse of nearly sixty years Gladys Miller of Sugarcreek, OH, daughter Carol and Husband Melvin Thorne of Verona, VA, Two sons Terry and Wife Lois Miller of Sugarcreek, OH and Mike and Wife Shellie Miller of Circleville, OH, one brother Bill Miller of Mineral Wells, WV, nine grandchildren; Jill Thorne, Julie Pillichody, Nathan Miller, Erin Miller, Dustin Miller, Ryan Miller, Ashley Miller, Collin Miller, and Annie Miller, Five great grandchildren; Justin Jordan, Josh & Jenna Pillichody, and Jada Miller.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brother Delbert Miller, sister Betty Jean Stewart, and Infant son Charles Byron Miller Jr.
Services Will be Saturday 1:00 PM at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in Mineral Wells, WV with Pastor Terry Kidd and Pastor Mark Watkins officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen South Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday 2-4 & 6-8 PM at The Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg. Memorial Donations maybe made to Hospice of Tuscarawas Co. 201 W. Third Street Dover, OH44622.
