"Great Great grandfather Reuben Harrison from the Harrisons of Rockingham County of Virginia, and his wife Sarah Elizabeth Goode, daughter of John Goode and Miss Gibbs, established a halfway house for travelers between Ripley and Charleston where weary travelers could find peace and rest. Reuben also had a post office at Goldtown after the Civil War."
