Dr. Holly L. Casto, 76, of Spencer, died Sunday at 8:30 a.m. at the Veterans Hospital in Chillicothe, Ohio. He was a retired physician and a former Captain in World War I. He was born at Frozen Camp, the son of Charles C. and Martha Casto, and was a member of the St. John's Methodist Church in Spencer. His wife, Mary, preceded him in death. Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Dayton Rhodes of Spencer, one half-brother, Kenna S. Casto of Columbus, Ohio, and one step-daughter, Mrs. F.F. McIntosh Jr. of Spencer. Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon from the Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer with the Rev. T.R. Mallory officiating. (Jackson Herald, 11 Aug 1950.)
