  Notes	1850 Jackson, VA # 418-422 lw Thomas Carney Casto Henry 9 M Va 1860 Jackson, VA # 530-493 , l/w Levi Rollins Henry, 19 The Gallipolis Tribune Wednesday January 28, 1891 Cheshire It happened something like this: On Monday, the 19th inst., Henry Casto, one of our coal merchants, went into the workshop at the bank and saw a revolver lying on a bench; the sides were off the handle and exposed the spring which upon examination he found to be out of fix and proceeded to remedy it and without examining the chambers pulled back the hammer and it snapped on a cartridge which exploded, the bullet passing between the last two joints of his index finger of the left hand, splintering the bone and cutting the tendons on each side. The revolver was a 32 calibre. Mr. Casto came down to Dr. Ely's office and had the finger amputated, Dr. Luckey assisting, and the hand is doing well.
