MRS. SOPHRONIA HUTTON
HUTTON, Mrs. Sophronia – 78, of 1211 Red Oak St. died yesterday morning in St. Francis Hospital after a long illness. She was a member of the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Putnam County and had lived in Kanawha County the past 26 years.
Surviving are her husband, Thomas Wilford Hutton; a son, Cecil Hutton of Dunbar; six daughters, Mrs. Walter Fields of Clendenin, Mrs. Ethel Mankin of Fostoria, Ohio, Mrs. E.C. Casto and Mrs. H.P. Bucklew, both of Charleston. Mrs. O.B. Boggess of Sissonville, and Mrs. C.B. Dobbins of RFD 6 , Charleston; a brother, Gideon Harrison of Charleston; five sisters, Mrs. Cora Garrett of Beckley, Mrs. Mellie Haze, Mrs. Robb Mundy , Mrs. DeWitt Gillispie and Mrs. Lucy Harrison, all of Charleston; 37 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren. The body is at Cunningham mortuary, Service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow at Mountain Mission by Revs. Hobson B. Fisher and Charles Scragg
Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. The body will be taken from the mortuary to the home at 10 a.m.
