Captain John A. Shinn has arrived safely at a port in England according to a message received by relatives here. He enlisted in the Army about two years ago and has been serving in the Medical Corps. He is a son of the late J. A. Shinn and Mrs. Shinn, and is a brother to Mrs. J. Howard Smith, Mrs. Georgia Ellison and Allen Shinn, of Ripley. In private life he is a dentist and practiced his profession in Pt. Pleasant for a number of years before entering the service. (Friday, June 2, 1944)
