Record added: Oct 16, 2011 Find A Grave Memorial# 78542292 Morrison Rites Set For This Afternoon At Bartlett Chapel Services are to be held at three o'clock this afternoon at Bartlett chapel for William L Morrison, 73, of Washington Street, who died yesterday at a local hospital. The Rev J W Pierson, pastor of the First Methodist Episcopal church South is to officiate and burial is to be in Sunset Memorial Park. Mr Morrison was born October 27, 1864, the son of the late G P and Virginia Wolfe Morrison of Ripley. For several years he was in the mercantile business in Ripley, Clendenin and Clarksburg. The past several years he was connected with the O J Morrison department store, Charleston. He is survived by his widow, three sons, W L Morrison, Jr; Don and Dana Morrison; two daughters, Miss Winifrede Morrison and Mrs Gene Moore; one grandson, Gene Moore, III; two sisters, Mrs A P Fisher and Mrs L C Prickett, and two brothers, O J Morrison, Charleston and C M Morrison, Huntington. He was a member of the Frist Methodist Episcopal church, South.
