He married first Sarah Newton, sister of Elizabeth. The latter died sometime after 1789. Capt. Peter Rust was born in 1710 or 1711; died before 1762. 1753, surveyor of highways; 1755, Overseer of roads; 1759, Commissioned Captain by Governor of VA. Catp. Peter Rust was son of Samuel Rust.
