  Notes	Kellea Lewis: Daniel came to America prior to the Revolution and settled on the western Virginia border where he entered service during the Revolution. In 1777 he served in Capt. West's company of rifflemen. In 1778 he was in the 11th and 15th Virginia regiments, later in the 7th Va regiment and in Clark's expedition. In July 1781 he served in the 1st regiment of Light Dragoons.
