      Reuben Cooper (1760-1824) b. in Brunswick Co., Va., around Lawrenceville, Sergeant Major in the American Revolutionary War serving in 14th, 10th, and 1st Regiments, fought at Valley Forge, was sick at Morristown, earned £8-10 per month while serving, married Elizabeth who died in 1815. The couple had one child, Reuben W. Cooper, b. 1792.

      He left a will in Edgefield, SC vol 1 Book 1817-1835 C p. 243, Elizabeth has
      one on pa. 561.
