HUNT Charles F. Hunt the son of Joe L. and Sarah Hunt was born December 22, 1861. Departed this life 9:30 A.M., August 5, 1940. Age 78 years, 7 months, and 13 days. He was united in marriage to Verna Hunt, October 15th, 1885. To this union five children were born all deceased. He professed faith in Christ about forty nine years ago and united with the Cherry Grove M.E. Church South. After the burning of that church which was never rebuilt, he with his wife united with the Antioch U.B. Church about thirty years ago where he held his membership until death. Brother Hunt was born and reared on Cow Run and spent his life there as a farmer until twelve years ago when he retired and moved to Cottageville, W.Va. where he lived in retirement till death. He leaves to mourn their loss brothers, John and Frank Hunt of Polo, MO. , a nephew, Easter the widow, Verna Hunt, two Hunt and family members who with kind hands and heart helped to care for him during his last illness. Also other nephews and neices, other distant relatives and a host of friends. He was an affectionate husband, a good neighbor and friend. Knowing his recovery was impossible he desired to depart and be with the Lord which would be far better. Thus expressing his willingness and readyness to go.
