RIPLEY - Oda A. Anderson, 83, of Ripley died Aug. 18, 1999, in Jackson General Hospital.
He was a rural mail carrier, a carpenter, a dairy farmer and a member of Plainview Baptist Church.
Surviving: daughter, Arlean Sudhoff of Columbus, Ohio; brothers, Herman and Ronald, both of Ripley, Rudy of Charleston; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Service will be 11 a.m. today at Vail Funeral Home, Ripley, with the Rev. Orville Walker officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Cemetery, Fairplain.

RIPLEY - Brian Jay Anderson, 29, of Ripley died Feb. 9, 1997, in VA Medical Center, Huntington, after a short illness.
He was an Army veteran of the Persian Gulf War, a member of Plainview Baptist Church, a graduate of Ravenswood High School and a truck driver.
Surviving: sister, Drema Berry of Ravenswood, brother, Jeffery A. of Morgantown paternal grandfather, Oda Anderson of Ripley maternal grandmother, Margaret Jeffries of Ripley two nephews.
Service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Vail Funeral Home, Ripley, with the Rev. Bill Kersey officiating. Burial will be in Anderson cemetery, Fairplain. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
