MINGO JUNCTION, Ohio - Services for Conrad Lee Casto, 53, of Mingo Junction, formerly of Parkersburg, who died Monday at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church, Mingo Junction, Ohio.
The Rev. George VanLeuvan will officiate with burial in New Alexander Cemetery; near Mingo Junction.
He was a 1946 graduate of Parkersburg High School, where he was active in Thespians. He helped in the formation of the Actors Guild of Parkersburg. He served in the U.S. Naval Air Force from 1946 - 50, attended Marietta College and was assistant auditor in Jackson County Courthouse, Steubenville, Ohio, for 17 years. He later served 10 years in the Ohio State Auditor's office at Columbus. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Mingo Junction where he was ordained elder in Dec. 1981. He was a 32nd degree Mason, a member of Pilgrim Lodge 691 in Steubenville, Scottish Rite Bodies Valley of Steubenville and Alladin Shrine Club in Columbus.
He is survived by two sons, Darrell Casto of Steubenville and Brian Casto of Mingo Junction, Ohio; a daughter, Linda Petranko of Steubenville; three grandchildren, his mother , Beryl Robinson, and a sister, Garnet Sue Lent, both of Belpre.
His wife, Clara Mae Menzel Casto, died Jan. 1, 1982.
Friends may all at the Hoff Funeral Home in Mingo Junction from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. today and at the church an hour prior to services.
