Obituary
Ernie Loretta Reynolds, daughter of the late Mr. And Mrs. F. S. Reynolds, was born September 27, 1878 and departed this life August 28, 1948, age 69 years, 11 months and one day.
ON September 14, 1911 she was united in marriage to Cornelius S. Winters and to this union two children were born, Vaught Winters of Columbus, Ohio, and Ora Kintz of Bidwell, Ohio. Mr. Winters preceded her in death some 30 years ago.
In 1917, she and her children moved to Ohio with her parents. In a few years she married Mr. Motz. He also has preceded her in death.
On October 3, 1939 she was united in marriage to William Strawsbaugh who survivies her. Also her two children , five grand-children, Joan Winter, Naomi, Donna, Kathryn and Marcella Kintz, one brother and four sisters, James Reynolds, Minnie Robie, Dorcas Adams, all of Bidwell, Ohio, Mae Sharpe of Columbus, Ohio, and Allie Fisher of Sandyville. Prededing her in death were her father, mother, three brothers and two sisters.
She was converted early in life and joined the United Brethern Church in Fairplain. After moving to Ohio, she transferred her membership to the U.B. Church near Bidwell. Her health has been declining for some time but she became seriously ill Monday, Aug. 23. Her doctor and loved ones did all they could to relieve her, but she gradually grew worse. On Wednesday she was removed to the Holzer hospital at Gallipolis, Ohio, but never responded to treatment and passed away Saturday morning about 1:30 a.m.
Before leaving her home Wednesday she seemed to realize that her remaining days were numbered. She prayed and rejoiced, bid her loved ones goodbye and told them to be good.
She was a devoted companion a kind and loving mother, a good neighbor and friedn and will be sadly missed by all who knew her best.
The funeral services were conducted in the Coleman & Son funeral home at Bidwell, Ohio, by Rev. Caldwell and the body laid to rest in the cemetery near the Mt. Olive Church.
One by one our loved ones leave us
Here on earth we'll meet no more
If with God our lives are worthy
We shall meet on Heaven's bright shore.
They are gone but not forgotten
There's a longing in our hearts
That some day somewhere we'll meet them
Where we'll never, never part.
