  Notes	Lona Ethel Jones - Charleston Newspapers - (Oct/16/2007) LONA ETHEL JONES, 99, passed away Sunday, Oct.14, 2007, at the home of her caregiver, Mrs. Lendel Shaffer of Yawkey. Mrs. Jones was a lifelong resident of the St. Albans, Nitro area. She was born June 4, 1908, at Ryan, Roane County, the daughter of the late Ezra Oscar and Florence (Taylor) Rhodes. She married on the 2nd of Nov. 1924 to Mr. Hoyt Jones, the son of Moses Wheeler and Laura Etta (Walls) Jones. To this union was born 12 children. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hoyt Jones; two daughters, Opal Marie and Carolyn Sue Jones; and four grandchildren, Mrs. Donna (Jones) Perry, Mrs. Brenda (Jones) Gill, Mr. Dennis Jones and Mr. Tony Edward Jones. She is survived by ten children, sons, Mr. Hoyt “Darrell” (Patricia) Jones Jr. of Sabastian Fla., Mr. Donald Richard (Anna) Jones of Taylor, Mich., Mr. Orville Jones and Mr. Larry (Linda) Jones, both of Dunnelon, Fla. and daughters, Mrs. Edna Majchrazak of St. Albans, Mrs. Juanita (Daniel) Pridmore of Newport, Mich., Mrs. Beulah (Bruce) Potter of South Charleston, Mrs. Phyllis (Jerry) Withrow of Nitro, Mrs. Ruth (August) Zorn of Albany, Ohio, and Mrs. Janet (Rick) Fields of Lexington, Ky. Mrs. Jones also leaves behind 22 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and 25 great-great-grandchildren. The funeral service held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, at Bartlett-Chapman Funeral Home, 409 Sixth Ave, St. Albans, with Pastor Don Cummings officiating.
