      Graden Westfall (1999)

      Graden "Mick" Westfall, 77, of Harmony died Monday, April 5, 1999 at Jackson General Hospital, Ripley.

      He was born in Roane County. a son of the late Homer and Eva Raines Westfall. He formerly worked for the West Virginia Division of Highways, was a construction worker and farmer. He attended Shady Dale Church in Harmony and was a veteran of the Army Air Force during World War II, where he was in the Pacific Campaign and served 40 missions as a flight engineer.

      He is survived by his wife, Evelena "Biddy" Casto Westfall; one daughter and son-in-law, Lana and Robert Underwood of Harmony; one sister, Swannie Crihfield of Spencer, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

      Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home, with Rev. Larry Jones officiating. Burial will be in Fairplain Cemetery with military graveside rites. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. Thursday.
