GANDEEVILLE - Rosalie Harper, 79, of Gandeeville died April 29, 2004, in Roane General Hospital, Spencer, after a short illness.
She was born Oct. 29, 1924, in Roane County, a daughter of the late Okey and Myrtle Harper. She was also preceded in death by a son, Jerry Harper; two brothers, Doy and Coy Harper; and three sisters, Addie Cottrell, Fredda Barnette and Wanda Hersman.
She was retired from the Roane County Board of Education.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Vickie Harper of Ripley; a daughter and son-in-law, Judy Harper Skeen and Bobby Skeen of Cottageville; grandchildren and their spouses, Douglas and Kimberly Harper of Hurricane, Aric and Melinda Harper of Ripley, Bobby Skeen II of Raeford, N.C., Joseph Skeen of Fairmont; great-grandchildren, Austin, Andrew and Ashton Harper; a brother, Foy Harper of Sebring, Fla.; four sisters, Ulva Paxton of Walton, Thelma Cook of Gandeeville, Ruth Walker of Spencer, Delores Evans of Harmony; and several nieces and nephews.
Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, May 2, at Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Smith Epling officiating. Burial will be in Gandeeville Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday.
