Tressie Faye Casto
Tressie Faye Casto, 88, of Statts Mill, died Saturday, April 25, 2009, at CAMC Hospital following a long illness.
She was born Nov. 11, 1920, at Belgrove, a daughter of the late James and Mary Skeen Taylor. She was a homemaker and a member of the Sinaville United Methodist Church.
She is survived by one son, Larry Casto of Statts Mill; three daughters, Phyllis Cobb of Hurricane, Charlotte Casto of Bellville, and Deloris Cummings of Mt. Alto; one brother, Brady Taylor of Ripley; a half-brother, Clyde Taylor of Charleston. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Kim and Scott Cummings, Danelle, Danny, Adam Casto and Kelley Freshour; three great-grandchildren, Jeremiah, Mason, and Noah; and special caregivers, Imogene Rhodes, Jeannie Harris, Helena Burdette, and Trina Nelson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Casto; an infant son; a sister, Thelma Christian; and half-sisters, Cora Southall, Virgie Raines, Elsie Ingram, and Lucy Casto; half-brothers, Orva Taylor and Lester (Bus) Taylor.
Service will be noon Tuesday, April 28, 2009, at the Sinaville United Methodist Church, Statts Mill, with Danny Cummings officiating. Burial will follow in the Sinaville Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, at Parsons-Waybright Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Parsons-Waybright Funeral Home will be serving the family.
