Father Benjamin Wells, b. 7 Nov 1724, Baltimore County, Maryland, USA , d. 16 Feb 1795, Ohio County, West Virginia, USA (Age 70 years) Mother Temperance Butler, b. Abt 1724, d. 19 Feb 1800 (Age ~ 76 years) Married 1743 Baltimore County, Maryland, USA [1] Notes - All the family lived in the Baltimore County area until 1777, when sons Charles and Absalom moved west to the Ohio Valley region of Virginia. Oct 26, 1782, Benjamin & Temperance sold their land in Maryland and shortly after, moved west along with their children and proably his mother. They settled on the hill back of Buffalo Creek. Benjamin built a stockade. Ramsey's Fort was about a mile and a half above, on the Creek.
