Lucille Gay Hargus, 97, of Lancaster, Ohio, died Thursday, Oct. 6, 2005 in Crestview Sheridan Nursing Home, Lancaster.
She was born at Ryan, a daughter of the late Marshall A. and Eva Boner Harper. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, Quentin Hargus of Lancaster and Garland Hargus of Canal Winchester, Ohio; two daughters, Rose Marie Hurley of Canal Winchester and Mary H. Schisler of Lancaster; and seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Okey Hargus, in 1978, and two sisters, Lona Hunt and Gertrude Hunt.
Service was Sunday at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, Walton, with Rev. Jim Burdette officiating. Burial was in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
John H. Taylor Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
