Mr. Esten R. Hunt of Walton, WV, died in the Catawba Memorial Hospital, Hickory, NC after a short illness. He was born at Ryan, WV, a son of the late Sherman and Osha Hunt. He was the retired owner of Hunt's Grocery at Walton, a member of the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, Walton, and a lifelong resident of Roane County.
He is survived by his wife, Gertrude Harper Hunt, whom he married May 24, 1930; two daughters Willadean Harper of Hickory, NC, and Betty Anderson of Spencer, WV; one brother, Harold Hunt of Walton, WV; five grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one grandson, David Harper in 1989; one brother, Ferris Hunt; and one sister, Metta Harper. TSCRB
