Darrell L. Cummings
Darrell L. Cummings, 73, of Gay passed away Sunday, Dec. 9, 2007, in CAMC Memorial Hospital, Charleston.
He was born March 19, 1934, at Belgrove and was a son of the late Leonard and Beulah Casto Cummings.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Romie, Rufus, Kenny, Garland and Junior Cummings; and sisters, Ruby Skeen, Ruth Rogers, Blanche Ferrell, Nellie Jones and Lucy Cummings.
He was a mechanic, having worked for Carl E. Smith, Black Rock Construction, State Construction and the West Virginia Department of Highways. He was a member of Aplin Ridge United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mamie Bell Cummings; three sons, Randy Cummings of Cottageville, Rick Cummings of Statts Mill and Gary Cummings of Gay; a sister, Marie Isenhart of Ripley; and three grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, at Parsons-Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley, with Pastor Danny Cummings officiating. Burial will be in Aplin Ridge Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
