  Notes	Ripley, W.Va. - Herbert Arthur Westfall, 86, of Ripley passed away Thursday, October 22, 2009, at CAMC General Division following an extended illness. He was born June 12, 1923, in Jackson County, a son of the late Amos Brady and Edith Stalnaker Westfall. He was retired from the shipping department of True Temper Corporation in Charleston and a Navy Veteran of WWII. Surviving are wife Shirley Jones Westfall, sons Arnold Westfall of Ripley, Carl Westfall of Arizona, and Danny Williams of Ripley; daughter Virginia Matheny of Kenna; brother Amos Glenn Westfall of Elyria, OH; sisters Gertha Walker of Gandeeville, Gertrude Hopkins of Spencer, Eurada Skeens of Ripley, and Veneda Hoover of Cairo, WV; grandchildren Marshall Westfall, Carrie Westfall, Scott Westfall, Melinda Sue Westfall, Jolienne Westfall, Gary Matheny; and 17 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday, October 25, 2009, at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley, with Pastor Danny Cummings officiating. Interment will follow at the Aplin Cemetery, Aplin Ridge, near Gay. Friends called Saturday evening, October 24, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
