  Notes	The Times Record Spencer, WV 2000 William Jeffries William "Leon" Jeffries, 66, of Gandeeville died Saturday, July 8, 2000 at Charleston Area Medical Center, Memorial Division. He was born at Gay, a son of the late William "Lafe" and Dora Ellen Hess Jeffries. He was retired from US Steel, Lorain, Ohio, with 31 years of service. He was a Christian. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Lovena "Yvonne" Rhodes Jeffries; two sons, David K. Jeffries of Little Mountain, S.C., and Phillip N. Jeffries of Lorain; two daughters, Connie Cummings of Gandeeville and Christine Wysocky of Loriain; two brothers, Donald and Glen Jeffries, both of Gay; one sister, Blondena Casto of Cross Lanes; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Jim Jeffries; and three sisters, Melva Kline and Mary and Gertrude Jeffries. Services were Tuesday at Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Jones officiating. Burial was in Shady Dale Cemetery near Gandeeville.
