Delbert R. Rhodes, 76, of Mineral Wells, died Thursday, Dec. 25, 2003 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio.
He was born at Otto, a son of the late Dewey A. and Gracie Boggs Rhodes.
He retired from Tri-Star Wholesale after 25 years as a sales rep. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and member of Lubeck United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Elsie G. Parsons Rhodes; one son, Damon E. Rhodes of Summersville; two daughters, Barbara K. Dagon of Mineral Wells and Charlotte S. Reid of Parkersburg; one brother, Eldon H. Rhodes of Clover; one sister, Imogene Nichols of Otto; two grandsons, three granddaughters, three great-grandsons, two great-granddaughters and several nephews and nieces.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Elmer C. Rhodes; and one sister, Alice M. Deems.
Service was Sunday at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Smith officiating. Entombment was in Sunset Memory Gardens.
