  Notes	Mathew Geary was chosen as one of 4 people from Roane County to section off the county by an act of the new WV Legislature in 1863. Thus Geary District. In 1835 he constructed a water grist mill and Peter Darnell was the millwright. In 1860 Archibald Osborn purchased the mill. The community became known as Osborn Mills.
