  Notes	Verna M. Van Vlack POUGHKEEPSIE - Verna M. Van Vlack, 96, a longtime Poughkeepsie, NY resident, died April 27, 2007 at the St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh, NY. Born on Feb. 27, 1911 in Little Falls, NY, she was the daughter of John W. and Lula Ackert Hart. On July 24, 1932 in Mt. Pleasant, NY, she married Charles Van Vlack. Mr. Van Vlack predeceased her on December 24, 2000. She is survived by a sister, Beatrice Hylander of Liberty, NY, sister-in-law, Helen Hart of Poughkeepsie, two granddaughters, Brenda Boyce and her husband, George of Newburgh, and Terri Lewis and her husband, Wayne of Hyde Park, NY , a grandson, David Holt of Newburgh, a niece, Carol Benton of Liberty and a nephew, Robert H. Torrens and his wife, Elizabeth of Liberty, six great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and several great nieces and nephews. Mrs. Van Vlack is predeceased by her daughter, Verna Holt, a sister, Carolyn Torrens,a brother, Cletus Hart, a brother-in-law, Robert L. Torrens and a nephew, Gary Torrens. There are no calling hours. Inturnment of both Mr. and Mrs. Van Vlack will be 11:00am on Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, 342 South Ave., Poughkeepsie. Memorial contributions can be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Hudson Valley, The Wish House, 832 South Broadway, Tarrytown, NY 10591-6602. Arrangements are under the direction of the Parmele Funeral Home, 110 Fulton Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603.
