My Grandfather died on March 1, 1960. I remember the saddness and disbelief that we had lost our Papa. He was " Pop" to his children and Gird to my Grandmother. We had a terrible snowstorm that week. The snow was so deep it was difficult for the family to gather. My Grandfather's buriel was delayed one day because of the snow.
