Military rites for Pvt. Burhl Boso, 28, a son of Mr. and Mrs. George Boso of Murraysville, were held in Parkersburg yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon and the burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery there. Pvt. Boso was killed in action in Italy on May 28, 1944. The husband of Mrs. Nellie Mae Boso, he entered the service Sept. 3, 1943 and served in the 141st Infantry Regiment of the 36th Division, 5th Army. He was sent overseas Feb. 21, 1944. He fought in North Africa and was killed in action in Italy. He was awarded the Purple Heart. Pvt. Boso was born at Murraysville, the son of George and Violetta Boso. He is survived by his parents, his wife, six sisters, Mrs. Iris Wayne, Mrs. Jennie Mills, Mrs. Nora Medley, Mrs. Lizzie Carder, Mrs. Delta Whealdon, and Mrs. Rosie Luce; and five brothers, George, Elmer, Theodore, Melvin and Kinsman Boso. Another brother, Charles Boso, was also killed in Italy Feb. 6, 1944 and another brother and sister preceded him in death. (Friday, 20 Aug 1948)
