  Notes	From the 8/19/1967 Charleston Daily Mail: Ira Taylor, 86, a retired farmer of Roane County, died last night at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Elva Kinsley of 4835 Big Tyler Road, following a short illness. He was a former resident of the Long Ridge community in Roane County where he spent most of his life farming. Surviving: wife, Lydia Viola; son, Estil Taylor of Charleston; another daughter, Mrs. Hertie White of Elkview; sister, Mrs. America Galford Moffatt of Pocatalico; seven grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted Sunday at 2 pm at the Albert Myers and Son Funeral Home at Elkview with the Rev. Ray "Pete" Jones officiating. Burial will be in Billy Hunt Cemetery on Ambler Ridge Road in Roane County.
