Guy Aaron Parsons
Guy Aaron Parsons, 75 of Kanawha Two Mile, Charleston, passed away May 9, 2003 in Hubbard Hospice House. Born April 21, 1928, in Kanawha County, he was the son of Elmer Lawrence and Odessa Redman Parsons. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Roberta Kittrell.
He was a veteran of the US Army, a self-employed builder and logger and owner of Parsons Nursery. He was a Christian, devoted to his family.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Delores Frederick Parsons; daughters and their husbands, Pamela and Jay Thomas of Elkview, Kathy and David Atkinson of Franklinton, NC; sons and their wives, Guy Jr. and Connie of Kenna, Daniel and Ann and Richard and Karen, all of Charleston, Benjamin of Nitro, John and Angel of Lincoln County, Joseph and Vickie of Lake Wylie, SC, Timothy and Kristen of Akron, OH: 18 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; brothers, Howard of Charleston Virgil of Pomeroy OH, Rudy of Dunbar, Roger of Charleston; sisters, Reba Burdette of Poca, Hazel Cavender, Wilma "Billie" Edens and Texie Starcher, all of Charleston, Grace Miller of Nitro, Shirley Casdorph of Tempe, AZ, Sue Rakes of Logan UT., Linda Padgett of Morgantown.
Service will be 2 pm Tuesday May 13 at Calvary Church of the Nazarene, Lakewood Drive, Charleston with the Rev. Al Mendez and the Rev. Jim Kinder officiating. Burial will follow in Emma Chapel Cemetery on Route 34.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 pm Monday at the church.
