  Notes	Teacher Hanged by a lawless mob of so-called vigilantes, together with another young man, Chester Coon, for the murder of Rev Thomas P Ryan, the night of October 13-14, 1887. It was believed by many at the time that the two young men were innocent and that some members of the lynch mob had probably murdered the minister.
