From Angela Ruley: Christopher and Patience Tolley settled in the Arnold's Valley region of Rockbridge county before 1778. He obtained land grants in that region which had been originally designated to Samuel Arnold for who the valley takes its name. Yes, Lucinda was the daughter of Thomas Tolley and Lucy Jones. She was the sister of Patience Tolley who married Christopher J Rhodes.
