RIPLEY - Layton E. Casto, 71, of Ripley died Feb. 18, 1998, in Jackson General Hospital after a long illness.
He was a retired boilermaker with Local 667, a Navy veteran, a member of Masonic Lodge 16, Ripley, and a member of the Scottish Rite bodies.
Surviving: daughter, Aletha Hall of Gay; sister, Luella Crane of Fairplain; brother, Ardeth Casto of Paden City; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
Service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Fairplain Union Church with the Rev. Bob King and Herman Robinson officiating. Burial, with Masonic rites by Lodge 16, will be in Fairplain Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Parsons-Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley.
