Obituary for Hubert Paul Richards
Hubert Paul Richards, born August 4, 1926 at Gay, WV went to his heavenly home Sunday, June 24, 2018 at home with his family after a long illness.
He was the son of the late Ira and Maggie Allen Richards. Hubert loved the Lord, hunting, singing for the Lord, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Donna Jean Richards; children Triss (John) White, Tonya (Jeff) White, Travis (Jessica) Richards, Larry (Miriam) Richards, Jim (Debbie) Richards, Delmar Richards, Linda (Oley) Richards, Lorna (Denver) Kidder, Denzil (Twyla) Richards, Earl Richards, and Margery Richards; Grandchildren Kaleb, Devan, Brooklyn, and Kaitlyn White, Adrus and Jesse James Richards, Victoria Richards, Tammy (John) Lowe, Mindy (Jay) Harper, Michael (Tiffini) Santee, Tracy Lent, Sarah (Michael) Bentley, Clayton Richards, David Richards, Joey Richards, Bobby (Amanda) Myers, and Stacy Myers. He is also survived by 24 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and brother Gilbert “Gib” Richards. He was a Papaw to and loved by many more children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sisters Belvie Simons, Slyvie Evans, Emma Casto, and Ruby Nelson; 3 children; 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, June 29th at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Zack Lightner officiating. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the service on Friday. Burial with Military Rites provided by the Jackson County Honor Guard will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Sandyville.
