Mrs. Gracie Lanham – 38, of Mammoth, died yesterday in Kanawha Valley Hospital after a long illness from heart and kidney conditions. Surviving are her husband, J. O. Lanham of Mammoth; two daughters, Betty Virginia and Doris Jean Lanham and a grandson, all at home; four brothers, Arthur and Otis Lanham, both of Charleston and Emmett and Herbert Lanham, both of Kenna; three sisters, Mrs. Dolly Thomas of Charleston, Mrs. Lura Stewart of Kirkersville, O., and Mrs. Delphia Slaughter of Columbus, Ohio. The body is at the home. Service will be at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow there with Rev. Marion Mullins and Rev. Wilbur Balser officiating. Burial, directed by Fidler and Frame Mortuary, will be in Lanham Cemetery on Middle Fork.
