He had been working during the day hauling wood. Funeral services at the Pleasant Grove Baptist vchurch in charge of Rev. L.(E?)S. Warren assisted by Rev. L. E. Bolte. Burial in the church cemetery in charge of funeral director T.W. Dye. Deceased was a son of the late J.T. and Martha (Paxton} Ashley and was born Sept 10, 1865. He was married to Susan M Stewart, Nov. 3, 1888, who survives with six children: Ella wife of Arley Moore, of Pullman(?), WV; Dewey Ashley of Amma; Herbert Ashley and Gladys wife of Ralph Atkinson of Peniel, Reedy Rt1; Herman and Kenneth Ashely of Liverpool Route 1. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, and one great grandson and two brothers, Joseph and L S Ashley of Bear Run Reedy route 3and sister V --- W E Straight of -----
