John House "Pioneers of Jackson County" pg 15
Isaac Hyde, with his brothers James & George, migrated to Virginia when he was about grown, They probably came with their father. They came from England, and were six months in passage. They first came to the section and settled at the mouth of Mill Creek. Isaac later lived about weher Murrayville now is. Mrs Carder, a grand daughter, tells me she has heard her grandfather often speak of "Devil's Hole" an thinks it may hvae been a place in Hardy County.
